There’s been some speculation that Marvel Studios might give the same rating to the MCU movie – and fittingly so given its violence, mature themes and vampire lore – but only time will tell. Snipes auditioned & lobbied hard for the role of Leroy Green in the 1985 cult classic movie The Last Dragon but the role was given to Taimak instead. The first film, most importantly, was also the first Marvel movie ever made to get an R-rating. Wesley Trent Snipes (born July 31, 1962) is an American actor. Snipes originally played the vampire hunter in the original Blade trilogy produced in the late 90s and early 2000s. Production on the movie hasn’t begun yet, so it’s possible that Marvel might approach him soon if he does have any part to play in the reboot. In the same interview, Snipes mentions that Marvel Studios hasn’t come knocking at his door to make a cameo (or possibly play a significant part) in the new Blade.
